It's similar to the technique I use for oil painting but acrylic is quicker and drys much faster. The work will be inspired by the of Clara Peeters. Clear a space on the wall to hang your creation. I am honoured to announce Hyperrealism Master Artist and IBEX Master ANTONIO CASTELLÓ AVILLEIRA is set to return to Dublin in 2024 for two amazing workshops. He will share the unique processes he has developed to create his hyperrealism art.
You will learn to create a hyperrealism oil painting from the printed reference. The reference is provided. Each workshop will have a new original image designed by Antonio for you to work from. Next years image is yet to be decided. I’ll post it here when Antonio has chosen it. DATES: 3 day oil painting workshop: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6th, 7th and 8th September 2024 - full day 10am - 6pm with an hour for a lunch break COST: total €350: €140 deposit to hold your place with the balance of €210 due before August 1st 2023 Materials are not included in the price. For the oil painting masterclass I will email you the list of brushes, oil paints and supplies. It’s the same materials list as the 2022 and 2023 class for those of you who have attended then. The course is given in Spanish with an interpreter translating Antonio’s teaching to English. If you need another language get in touch. Side note: I personally travelled to Rome in March 2022 especially to take this course and it was amazing. So I can happily recommend it. Since then I have taken a further 2 masterclasses with Antonio and I credit him and his mentoring with the greatest improvement in my art practice. Get ready to unlock your inner artist with a 2 day / weekend oil painting workshop. All levels are welcome. Those new to oil painting are very much encouraged. Taught by artist Sheila Flaherty.15th and 16th of June, 10 am - 5pm each day with a break for lunch.During this workshop we will cover preparing your canvas for painting, transfer of the design to the canvas, setting up your palette, materials to use for best practice, colour mixing with extra care toward creating texture in this case fur, application of paint, edges, value, chroma, light and shade, layering, glazing, brush care and finishing.Material are not provided.
