Art Academy has a new program of Art Classes in Leinster Cricket Club this October, November and December. Life drawing and hyperrealism are my favourite types of art. Life drawing is drawing from the live model. It is the best way to learn to draw. There is a 5 week taught course starting in November for adults. Beginners and those who haven’t drawn in ages are very welcome. Even if stick men are your starting point, you can learn to bring them to life. Seasoned artists can add to their practice. Meeting every Tuesday evening in the Cricket Club. You may use the members bar next door before and after the class to relax and share (if you are willing) your art. BOOK HERE for Life Drawing
When it comes to my own art I am obsessed with realism and hyperrealism. I’ll share all of my secrets with you on Saturdays. You can take your drawing to a whole other level with this process and you will seriously impress yourself with the results. Even if you aren’t a pro at art or it’s been a while since you created art, come along. I’ll take it slowly and explain each stage of the process. For the younger artists there is a 5 week Tuesday Art Academy after school in Rathmines. I encourage them to bring along recents drawing and paintings etc. to get a gauge for what they are interested in because it’s important to really tailor the art to suit them. There are a small number of places available at Halloween for our annual week long Halloween Art Camp. We’ll look to the East for artistic inspiration for this art camp. There is a morning Halloween Art Camp for artist aged 7-9 BOOK HERE and a separate Halloween Art camp for Artists aged 10-16 here
