Hi there,

I thought I’d give you a behind the scenes look at what I’m working on right now. This is the biggest painting I have made yet at 122cm x 150cm. I had to have the wooden panel specially made by Tadhg from The Folks Who Live in the Hill. It’s lovely paint on, very smooth. I don’t even have an easel big enough to accommodate it. I had to prop it up on these ottoman storage boxes.

Art model King Rose posed for this incredible shot by photographer Abe Neihum. I think it captures how many of us are feeling at times this year.

I have the main under-painting blocked in and filmed  a time lapse below. I hope you enjoy it. If you’d like a tutorial on how to draw the basic proportions of the human face I have popped one up on thinkific. I’m adding to this course all the time, so let me know if there is anything in particular that you’d like to learn to draw and I am happy to share what I know.
