Online art classes are coming soon the Art Academy. As a result of COVID_19 many of us are working from home. Some with children at home too. If you have a potential Picasso in your home, Art Academy will soon offer online art classes both live and prerecorded leaving you free to work from home while your artists create from the comfort of your own space. I’ll leave some Children’s YouTube video’s I have made at the end of this post for you to enjoy immediately.
If you fancy art classes yourself get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org I can create an offering for you too. I know I am grateful to have art in my life right now. It is a great way of managing the anxieties at this time. Less scary news watching and practicing a small bit of self care creating a piece of art is hugely beneficial. I’ll leave some YouTube video’s I have made at the end of this post for you to enjoy immediately.
Requested by the parents of my lovely art students, I am making some online art tutorials. Share with those parents/guardians who need some activities while staying home.
What would you think about a different video each day? I can arrange a competition for those who have completed all the drawings? Maybe a prize for the best artists? What do you think? https://youtu.be/D76CZ1lR3ag
TAG #drawabcanimals on social media, I’d love to see your drawings
At Art Academy we are excited to announce our shiny, new home at the Education and Research Centre, Harold’s Cross. This is where we will host the Halloween / Midterm Art Camp 2019.
It’s a really nice building on the grounds of Our Lady’s Hospice. We’ll be in “classroom 3’ or as I prefer to call it Art Studio 3.
The entrance is across the road from the post office / St Clare’s School in Harold’s Cross. Enter through the main gates of Our Lady’s Hospice on the Harold’s Cross Road and proceed for 200 meters, the Research and Education Centre is on your right passed the carpark. Parking is free.
If you would like to draw a lion, watch the video above and draw with me. It took me 3 minutes to draw the outline in marker.
TOP TIP: I like to draw the outline first in pencil. That way if I make a mistake, I can simply erase it. When I have all of the out lines drawn in pencil, then I take a black marker and go over these lines. Afterwards I take my time and enjoy colouring in my artwork. I hope you enjoy drawing this lion too. Which animal would you like to draw next?
Some of you know this from Art Academy’s Summer camp but for others: Did you know the famous french artist Rosa Bonheur learned the alphabet as a child by drawing an animal for each letter of the alphabet? One of her many favourite animals to draw and paint were lions. What is your favourite animal to draw?
Incredible progress being made on their mastercopies. I am very impressed with this weeks artists. Art Academy artist’s are the very best. 19th century French Realism art mastercopy block-in’s by your local artists aged 9-13 years old. How does the art camp always get artists this amazing. Awesome job guys. #rosabonheur#Lionesses#LionKing#artistic
We are off to a very colourful start here at this week’s Art Academy Summer Camp as we welcome 12 promising artist’s to their week of Rosa Bonheur painting. Stay tuned to see their work progess. I am very excited to see what these guys can do as so far, I’m impressed with their work ethic and colour mixing skill.
Art Academy are pleased to announce that we are now taking bookings for our Summer Art Academy Camps 2019 after the success at the Easter Camps. I’m so proud of the artists who attended and the standard of paintings they created. Exceeding my (admittedly high) expectations. Well done guys. 👩🎨👨🎨
