Art Academy To Offer Online Art Classes

Online art classes are coming soon the Art Academy. As a result of COVID_19 many of us are working from home. Some with children at home too. If you have a potential Picasso in your home, Art Academy will soon offer online art classes both live and prerecorded leaving you free to work from home while your artists create from the comfort of your own space. I’ll leave some Children’s YouTube video’s I have made at the end of this post for you to enjoy immediately.

If you fancy art classes yourself get in touch: sheilaflaherty2002@yahoo.com  I can create an offering for you too. I know I am grateful to have art in my life right now. It is a great way of managing the anxieties at this time. Less scary news watching  and practicing a small bit of self care creating a piece of art is hugely beneficial. I’ll leave some YouTube video’s I have made at the end of this post for you to enjoy immediately.

The Scream by Edvard Munch recreated by the Art Academy Artists

Ancora Imparo “I am Still Learning” It was in his 87th year that the great Italian Renaissance artist Michelangelo uttered these words – an ancient testament to the modern idea of lifelong learning. Art being the greatest adventure of them all.

I got to teach some incredible artists this week between the ages of 6-14 years old. I am so proud of them. They put huge efforts into recreating the Edvard Munch masterpiece The Scream over the mid-term break.

Huge congratulations to: Emily. Marianne, Hannah, Catherine, Giulia, Marco, Emilia, Tadgh, oisín, cillian, seóna, ciarán, cornelia, penelope, and seán. Very well done guys.

Sheila

Art Academy is Excited to Announce a New Home

At Art Academy we are excited to announce our shiny, new home at the Education and Research Centre, Harold’s Cross. This is where we will host the Halloween / Midterm Art Camp 2019.

It’s a really nice building on the grounds of Our Lady’s Hospice. We’ll be in “classroom 3’ or as I prefer to call it Art Studio 3.
The entrance is across the road from the post office / St Clare’s School in Harold’s Cross. Enter through the main gates of Our Lady’s Hospice on the Harold’s Cross Road and proceed for 200 meters, the Research and Education Centre is on your right passed the carpark. Parking is free.
For more details on location: https://olh.ie/education-research/location/

We are fully book this year but will announce a new schedule for 2020. www.artacademy.ie
