It’s great to be back. These images of our art camp from 2 years ago popped up on my phone today. I am excited for our art camps in August. See you then, Sheila
BIG NEWS: We’re back. Reopening in August with an exciting program of Summer camps in the Harold’s Cross Community Centre (behind Kenilworth Motors). To protect my wonderful artists, you and your family, we will have social distancing safety protocol in place in compliance with the HSE and the HPSC
The 4 day Classical Art Summer Camps on offer this August are as follows:
Week 1: Tuesday- Friday 4th -7th August 2020 | 10am – 2pm | 6 – 8 yrs
Week 2: Tuesday – Friday 11th – 14th August 2020 | 10am – 2pm | 9-14 yrs
I have a screen grab, pdf and word document of the application form at the end of the blog post for you. All art materials are supplied but each artist will use individual art packs as opposed to sharing art materials. I’ll take a small number of artists per camp, which is normal for Art Academy anyways but also for social distancing compliance this year. Each artist will have an art station 2 meters apart in the large hall.
I look forward to see you in August,
Small group for more individual attention Social distancing safety protocol in place
All very welcome regardless of previous artistic experience

Online art classes are coming soon the Art Academy. As a result of COVID_19 many of us are working from home. Some with children at home too. If you have a potential Picasso in your home, Art Academy will soon offer online art classes both live and prerecorded leaving you free to work from home while your artists create from the comfort of your own space. I’ll leave some Children’s YouTube video’s I have made at the end of this post for you to enjoy immediately.
If you fancy art classes yourself get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org I can create an offering for you too. I know I am grateful to have art in my life right now. It is a great way of managing the anxieties at this time. Less scary news watching and practicing a small bit of self care creating a piece of art is hugely beneficial. I’ll leave some YouTube video’s I have made at the end of this post for you to enjoy immediately.

A little Easter present for you, my wonderful Art Academy artists in lieu of our cancelled Easter art camp. As usual we will learn about a famous artist, this time it is Pablo Picasso and then create our very own Master Pieces.
Further to today’s government announcement Art Academy will postpone our usual Easter art camp. However leave it with me & I’ll look into an online solution. After all if us artists can’t innovate then who can. All suggestions / ideas welcome. http://artacademy.ie #CreateDontContaminate #CoronavirusLockdown #Taoiseach

Ancora Imparo “I am Still Learning” It was in his 87th year that the great Italian Renaissance artist Michelangelo uttered these words – an ancient testament to the modern idea of lifelong learning. Art being the greatest adventure of them all.
I got to teach some incredible artists this week between the ages of 6-14 years old. I am so proud of them. They put huge efforts into recreating the Edvard Munch masterpiece The Scream over the mid-term break.
